Did you enjoy it? I got excited, so I introduce the women’s team of Japan!!
Syoichi Yanagimoto manages this team and has great capability to manage.
Regrettably, the team finished seventh in the Volleyball World Cup 2007.
My favorite player is Yoshie Takeshita who is a setter.
To my surprise, she is only 159 centimeters tall.
Although she is much shorter than other players, she plays an active part in matches!

She was born February 2, 1986 and she was active as a volleyball player until the end of high school, after which she started to play beach volleyball.
In Japan, she is very popular with both sexes! Moreover she is a TV performer now.
Her smiles are really cute and sweet, and her sparkling eyes are impressive. So she is called ”the fairy in the the world of beach volleyball”.
Not only her looks but also her volleyball skills are great!
Today she is taking part in international competitions in order to be Japan’s representative in the Beijing Olympics.

She is a Judo competitor and she is commonly known as ‘Yawara-chan’. Her real name is Ryoko Tani and she comes from Fukuoka, the same as me!
In the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and 2004 Athens Olympic Games, she won gold medals.
In the World Championships, she won seven times! It is very wonderful!
